TE 402 goals

My learning goal for myself in this TE 402 class varies. I am interested in new reaches, different studies, and approaches that will help my future students. I am looking for ways to build upon my current skills and be able to help students to able to read, write, listen, and communicate effectively. I want to be able to help my students by using what they bring to the classroom and build upon the foundation they already have gained. My goal is also to find technology and other resources that will help me make this experience a fun one. I remember how much I enjoyed reading and writing in elementary school. However, I also remember one of my siblings who struggled with Language Arts and at times were frustrated with his teacher and anyone who tried to force him to learn materials in a boring way. He did not like the old way of teaching where you would sit at your desk and complete assignments written on the blackboard. I realized as he did his homework if it was in a hands-on settings he did not mind as much. My goal is to teach students and myself ways to meet the curriculum standards, using group activities, discussion, and other forms of learning techniques now available. I want to be able to accommodate different learning styles and the individual need of each student. I want to also see want I can gain from my CT at Post Oak Elementary School. I am looking forward to take what I learn and try to help these students in her kindergarten class for the rest of this semester. My ideal classroom will cater to the community of learners individually, yet collectively.
